- Your problem is not at all unusual. In fact, I would be surprised to hear
- someone with a non-Courier modem say they didn't have that problem. I
- bought two generic 33.6 modems with the same problem. I was told it's a
- bug in the firmware, and to this day it still hasn't been corrected.

- Generic modem dealers are proud to announce their modem is USR compatible.
- Since USR's and USR compatibles have this bug, I'm looking for a 33.6 that
- isn't USR compatible :)
